New Points System?

The Home Secretary Charles Clarke on Tuesday March 7, 2006 launched a new points- based system to enable the UK control migration more effectively, tackle abuse and identify the most talented workers needed in the economy.
This was contained in the Government's Command Paper on the points-based system for managed migration . The Home Secretary called on industry and education sectors to play their role in making migration work for Britain, and reminded them that they had a responsibility to help make the new scheme a success.   more....

Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has stated that Ghana has taken the lead again in Africa’s progression to a new era of rule by reason.
He said in current world affairs, the power of reason is manifested in the tenacity and fortitude of united countries that is being steered prominently but quietly by Ghana. This he noted, is enhanced greatly by the considerable esteem Ghana enjoys worldwide as well as pragmatic measures put in place to propel the country to greater heights.  more....
